THE LEAGUE’S NOVEMBER 16

LEGISLATIVE RECEPTION

Our big fall event – our biennial Legislative Reception – is coming up next week. You won’t want to miss this one. It’s on Tuesday, November 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Lt. Governor’s Reception Room at the State Capitol.

Bring your friends, your neighbors and your business associates. It’s free, friendly and features tasty hors d’oeuvres and soul-soothing refreshments. And besides, you get to meet your legislators on a one-to-one basis. What a deal!

Free parking is available in the Capitol Visitor Garage on 12^th Street between Trinity and San Jacinto, which is one block east of the Capitol. Enter the Capitol at the east doors (the Senate side) and take the elevator up to the second floor. The Lt. Governor’s Reception Room is on the right.

There is no charge to attend, but we hope you will help defray the cost by sending a tax-deductible donation (suggested amount: $25) to the LWVAA Education Fund, 1011 W. 31st. St., Austin, TX 78705.
