In addition to discussing the plan, participants will also be able to compare how Imagine Austin relates to other City plans, including neighborhood plans, and request additional information to be used in refining the plan. What City Data Would You Like Access To?

What City Data Would You Like Access To?

Open data is coming to Austin City government, and the City needs community input to identify data sets of interest and to help prioritize them for release in December.

Austin would like to join cities like Philadelphia, the District of Columbia and Boston, in providing data to increase transparency, promote operational efficiency and encourage public participation. Whether you are a resident, a researcher or software application developer, it is important that the City knows what data you need to stay informed and involved in City government.

Visit http://austin.uservoice.com/forums/139204-city-of-austin-open-data-portal and enter the open data forum. Review suggested City data sets, vote on those you would like to prioritize and even add your own suggestion if the data you want is not on the list.
